Why so serious?

Finally found the time to watch The Dark Night with my pamangkins. What can is say? It did not disappoint. Of course, as I've previously mention I'm more of a DC comics fan than a Marvel fan. I'm an uber fan of Batman and Superman. But even if you are not a DC fanatic, the movie will keep you glued to your seats until they roll out the credits. And I would like to give the credit to The Joker who was brilliantly played by the late Heath Ledger (too bad he's gone). Batman was awesome (except for his voice when he's Batman) but The Joker was something else. Of all the villains of Batman, The Joker is my favorite aside from Catwoman (duh!). If you watch or read any of the Batman adventures, most of the really good episodes are with The Joker. Remember the first Batman with Michael Keaton? The Joker was also superbly played by Jack Nicholson. The Joker is both scary and fun to watch. If Batman ever loses control, he will become The Joker especially if most of your enemies are from or ends up at Arkham Asylum. If you have not seen the movie, go watch it now.

Excelsior!

The PLAN did not push through. I was slightly disappointed. Instead, I treated my mom to a relaxing massage at Excelsior Spa. We both decided that we should go to Excelsior in Connecticut near Greenhills since we've tried it there before and we know they give good service. I think it's been a while since we went there because it's already gone when we got there. The guard said that it's been closed for more than a year now. I asked the guard if he knows where they transferred, he said that all the branches are closed (probably want us to go to the new spa that replaced Excelsior). I did not believe him and told my mom that there's another branch at Tomas Morato corner Roces.

Off we went to Tomas Morato, we were told that the branch in Greenhills is a franchise. We picked a combination of massage treatment so we can have 2 hours of relaxation. Mom chose the lymphomatic massage and candle waxing (which also includes a massage). I chose the aromatheraphy massage and candle waxing. We've never tried candle waxing before, it was pretty scary and exciting at the same time. The first thing they did was the candle waxing, they inserted something in my left ear while i was lying down and before i knew it, the room lit up with the burning wax paper. It was not relaxing at all to have a wax paper burning near your face, so i said before she does my right ear, i want to see how they will candle wax my mom's right ear. The girl inserted the rolled up wax paper into a paper plate with a hole in the center then inserted the wax paper inside the ear and lit up the paper and wait for it to burn. After that came the massage and the aromatheraphy treatment with massage. It felt really good and I have not been that relaxed for a long time. The Excelsior spa offers really great service and reasonable prices without burning a hole in your pocket.
