It's Miss Pfeiffer's Day

Just for fun, I'm posting a poem (with updates) I created for Miss Pfeiffer after watching her movie A Midsummer Night's Dream when i was in San Diego

To Susie Diamond of The Fabulous Baker Boys

Hear, Hear
Michelle Pfeiffer dear
wish I may, wish I might
God will make it right
In my next life
you will be my wife

Twenty five years of being a devotee
good or bad movies,
I dare not flee

From Grease 2 to Stardust
To worship you is a must
I love you Michelle Pfeiffer dear
In my heart you will always
be near

Lullaby for Hannah

Made up this lullaby for Hannah and it's sooo cute when she giggles after hearing the word "bubble".The first line are the words she remembers hearing from her mom (her mom calls her honey)when she's looking for her.

Hannah's Lullaby
Where's my honey?
Where's my honey?
My huggy, huggy baby
my huggy, huggy baby,
Huggable, huggable, huggable
my huggable bubble!

Like the weather

"The color of the sky as far as I can see is coal grey.
Lift my head from the pillow and then fall again.
With a shiver in my bones just thinking about the weather."
-10,000 Maniacs-

It finally rained today. Thank God for the rain. I went to Gateway after work to buy the polo shirt that i saw yesterday, but alas! it's already gone. I should've bought it yesterday but i was too tired from trying to find a motherboard for my pc. I thought that the only problem with my computer is the hard disk but it turns out that i need to replace the motherboard, my pc is five years old and it'll be cheaper to upgrade it than to replace the extinct motherboard. Now all i can do is salvage some parts from my old pc to transfer to the new one, plus i hope i can still use my newly bought hard drive (IDE) haaaayyayyay.
Anyhoo, i ended up buying 2 polo shirts and an eye patch from Body Shop (which is a spur of the moment puchase because i accidentally ripped the packaging when i was checking it out hehehe). I felt pressured to buy it because the guard kept asking the sales lady who was assisting me "Nasira?Bakit nasira?" Hmp!
Remind to self: "If you break it, consider it sold"

I.am.Happy

To: You
because after almost two years
of not talking and ignoring
that I.am.here
you finally gave me a hug

I hope that
you'll soon understand
that even if i seem distant
I never stopped caring

I love you

I'm still waiting for 2 more hugs

A different kind of heatstroke

The heat is killing me! (well, not yet but soon it will)
My Meralco bill is giving me a heart attack. Since i work the graveyard shift and i sleep during the day, our A/C is almost on 24/7 plus everybody's getting sick because of this freaking weather. My water bill also doubled because of extended shower time...sigh..can't wait for the rain to come

Here's a link on how to save energy:http://www.meralco.com.ph/Consumer/Tips/hometips.htm

Connecting the dots

I read this motivational speech of Steve Jobs in the local newspaper a few years back, i always think of his story about connecting the dots when something unexpected happens in my life...

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about connecting the dots...

Roadkill

I saw a dead woman lying on the road on my way home yesterday morning
Apparently she was hit by a bus while crossing the street, heard from onlookers that she was a doctor from a nearby hospital
It was really disturbing and upsetting to see a dead person just lying there like a roadkill, literally covered all over with newspaper, bloodied arms and feet showing, with cops investigating and rubbernecking motorists.
The accident happened near our place, we also pass by that road and what really upsets me is that, a bus is not suppose to be on that route.
Sigh…another life wasted.
